Country Music Superstar Martina McBride has obliterated the Hollywood elites with a silencing statement. “My job is to entertain, not talk politics.”
The Political Insider reported: More and more in recent years, celebrities and entertainers have felt the need to play the role of political pundit, rather than sticking to what they know best.
It’s no secret that Hollywood is full of liberals, and lefty celebrities have taken it upon themselves to use their celebrity status to make political statements, primarily by attacking conservatives and anyone supporting traditional values.
By now, most of you probably remember liberal actress Meryl Streep’s stunt at this year’s Golden Globe Awards, using an acceptance speech as an opportunity to trash President Trump.
Now, one celebrity, country music star Martina McBride, is breaking with tradition, announcing that she is sticking to music, refusing to express her political views in public. McBride’s comments come on the heels of Reba McEntire telling the co-hosts of ABC’s The View that her fans want to hear music, not politics.
From Fox News:
One thing that has been a constant in the “Independence Day” singer’s career is sticking to music — and not politics.
“I don’t feel like [it’s] my job to talk politics,” she said of many performers decision to speak out about their politics in the 2016 presidential election. “My job is to entertain people.”
Millions of country music fans flock to McBride’s concerts to hear her sing, not talk politics, which is a rarity in today’s society. Too many celebrities think it is their job to lecture the American public on their liberal views, regardless of whether or not anyone cares what they have to say
